Due to an excessive amount of rainfall in the 48 hours ending Monday morning, the Green Area Water and Sanitary Authority wastewater collection system was inundated by storm water causing several manholes throughout the area to experience sanitary sewer overflows, overflowing raw sewage and storm water to storm drains that discharge to Roberts Creek.

At approximately 6:10 a.m. on Sunday, the overflow started. It continued until around 5:50 a.m. Monday morning. Authority personnel have been working to clean up the affected areas.
